Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) opened in 1942 near the west coast of Florida. It handles over 1.5m passengers a year and over 100,000 aircraft operations.
Lionel Guilbert is Senior Vice President of Operations & Public Safety at SRQ and is responsible for ensuring passengers and aircraft get where they need to go. In 2019 he and the airport’s procurement team opened a tender to look for a new airport operations management platform.
Tampa International Airport (TPA) in Florida sought a flexible, efficient solution to improve its operations and passenger experience, particularly during challenging times.
AeroCloud’s modular, cloud-native platform provided TPA with a tailored solution, addressing their specific needs without the excess features of a larger all-in-one system.
Since 2019, TPA has benefited from AeroCloud’s platform, granting relevant access to tenants and ground operations teams and streamlining communication during irregular operations. The easy-to-use platform has effectively supported the airport, enhancing overall efficiency and service.
AeroCloud Optic’s award-winning computer vision technology has been trialled in both UK and US airports.
At Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL), it has been used to understand movement better, identifying where peaks, bottlenecks and queues are likely to be, resulting in better planning and increased efficiency.
Paul Staples, Operations Director at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, describes it as “the holy grail of commercial activity in an airport.”
